SPACEPLACE PRIVACY POLICY

Introduction and Overview

SpacePlace Inc. (“SpacePlace,” “we,”“our” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and share information about you as well as your rights and choices about such collection, use and sharing, and applies to this website as well as the services offered by SpacePlace, whether via this website or a SpacePlace mobile application (collectively, the “Service”).

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices regarding your information and how we will treat it. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, your choice is not to use the Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy may change from time to time (see Changes to this Privacy Policy). Your continued use of the Service after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check this Privacy Policy periodically for updates. If you have any questions about our privacy practices, please contact us as set forth in the Contact Us section below.

Information Collection

The Service is used by three types of participants, as further described in the SpacePlace terms of use. The information collected differs for each type of participant:

  1. 1. Information You Provide

We collect certain information you provide directly via the Service:

    • Retailers and Hosts provide Service account registration details, including company information (if applicable), first and last name, email address, postal address, phone number, and other similar contact data.
    • Guests are invited to set up a profile that will include first name and first letter of last name as well as to provide an email address. Guests may provide additional information if they scan a QR code associated with a Retailer’s furnishings or submit reviews of furnishings.
    • If you are a Retailer, we collect data necessary to process your payment for SpacePlace’s participation as a Retailer affiliate, such as your payment instrument number (e.g., a credit card number) and the security code associated with your payment instrument. If you are a Guest and provide a review, we collect data necessary to make a payment to you, which may include your postal address and/or bank account information.
    • We collect the content of messages you send to us, such as feedback and product reviews you write, or questions and information you provide to customer support. We also collect the content of your communications as necessary to provide you with the Service.
  2. 2. Information Collected Automatically

As you navigate through and interact with the Service, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns, including:

    • Details of your visits to the Service, including traffic data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Service. Information about the type of device or browser you use, your device’s operating software, your internet service provider, your device’s regional and language settings, and other similar information. This data also includes IP address, MAC address, device advertising ID (e.g., IDFA or AAID), and other device identifiers.

We also may use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioral tracking).

The information we collect automatically helps us to improve the Service, including by enabling us to:

    • Estimate our audience size and usage patterns.
    • Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize the Service according to your individual interests.
    • Speed up your searches.
    • Recognize you when you return to the Service.

The technologies we use for this automatic data collection may include:

    • Cookies (or browser cookies). A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. You may refuse to accept browser cookies by activating the appropriate setting on your browser. However, if you select this setting, you may be unable to access certain parts of the Service. Unless you have adjusted your browser setting so that it will refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you direct your browser to the Service.
    • Flash Cookies. Certain features of the Service may use local stored objects (or Flash cookies) to collect and store information about your preferences and navigation to, from, and on the Service. Flash cookies are not managed by the same browser settings as are used for browser cookies.
    • Web Beacons. Pages of our website may contain small electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs) that permit us, for example, to count users who have visited those pages and for other related website statistics (for example, recording the popularity of certain website content and verifying system and server integrity).

These third parties may use cookies alone or in conjunction with web beacons or other tracking technologies to collect information about you when you use our website. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content.

We do not control these third parties' tracking technologies or how they may be used. If you have any questions about an advertisement or other targeted content, you should contact the responsible provider directly. For information about how you can opt out of receiving targeted advertising from many providers, see Tracking Technology Choices below.
